Dr. Vatsala Pathak

Managing Director

Vatsala Pathak is the Managing Director of Manovatsal Foundation, where she provides strategic leadership to initiatives focused on mental health, inclusion, education, and social well-being, particularly for underserved and vulnerable communities.

With a strong academic foundation in psychology, Ms. Pathak brings a research-driven and evidence-based approach to the Foundation’s programs. She is a Research Scholar at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, where her work focuses on mental health challenges among persons with visual impairment, exploring the psychological, social, and emotional dimensions of disability. Her research reflects a deep commitment to inclusive development and the intersection of mental health and social equity.

At Manovatsal Foundation, she plays a pivotal role in:

Shaping the Foundation’s vision, mission, and program strategy.
Designing and guiding mental health and inclusion-oriented initiatives.

Ms. Pathak is known for her empathetic leadership style, combining academic rigor with grassroots sensitivity. Dr. Manoj K. M. Chaturvedi

Director

Dr. Manoj K. M. Chaturvedi is a sustainability professional, researcher, and social impact advocate with over two decades of experience spanning environmental governance, sustainability strategy, education, and community development. As Director of Manovatsal Foundation, he provides strategic guidance and long-term vision to the Foundation’s work in the areas of mental well-being, inclusion, education, and social resilience.

With a strong academic background in environmental and sustainability sciences, Dr. Chaturvedi brings a systems-thinking approach to social development. His work across India and internationally has exposed him to the deep interconnections between environmental stress, social vulnerability, mental health, and access to opportunity—perspectives that strongly influence the Foundation’s mission and program design.

At Manovatsal Foundation, his role focuses on:

Defining the Foundation’s strategic direction and ethical framework.
Supporting research-informed and evidence-based social initiatives.

Our Origin

Established for Impact

Incorporated on 01 July 2022, Manovatsal Foundation was born from a singular vision: to create an inclusive society where disability is not a barrier to dignity.

As a registered non-profit under the Companies Act, 2013, we are legally mandated to apply all our funds solely towards our charitable objects. We operate strictly for the benefit of the poor and downtrodden, irrespective of caste, religion, or sex.
